Long Island Nature Corps
Thank you for visiting our website. As we update this site please know we are still working to address and support important conservation and naturalist issues here on Long Island. LINC is a not-for-profit conservation group registered with both the State of New York and the IRS.
Some active projects we are currently focused on include:
- Conduct and support River Otter research as they return to Long Island from over a century of absence and to help protect them from "roadkill" deaths and to preserve their habitat.
- Because Coyotes are in fact here, we are engaging with state and local authorities to address the dangers posed by this non-native species to our local ecosystem, our pets and children. We will advocate for sensible policy changes to better protect our Island from this disruptive animal.
- Continue our support to water quality programs, mammal surveys, migratory bird counts, and habitat restoration.
If you have any questions or would like to learn more, email us or call 631-365-3252.
